Quotes from teens and parents in 2018:
“I have no doubt that my child is participating in NFTY as a high schooler due solely to the fact that she attended a NFTY event as an 8th grader. The NFTY 8th grade experience made it all seem so friendly; so when NFTY opportunities presented themselves in high school, it wasn’t a new and intimidating prospect — it seemed in fact like a natural next step. I’m so thankful that Temple Chai made NFTY available to my child as an 8th grader.” – Karen, parent
“I loved the NFTY Social Action Weekend! At first I was nervous for it because I was unsure who I knew that was going, but once I got there, I had a really great time and made a lot of new memories! I met a lot of different people, learned new games, and had a great first experience!“ - Marissa, 7th Grade
“I can think of no better way to spend a weekend! After only a few hours you feel like you know everyone way better than anyone at school, and we are all till in touch (texting every day). In addition, it is so much fun being a host family! The kids who stay over are really sweet and easy, and it’s super fun! The programming was amazing, but my favorite part of the NFTY78 weekend is the spectacular friends you make." - Julia, 8th Grade
“I found the experience meaningful as I observed my 8th grader show more confidence as one of the 'big kids' making new friends and having fun with people he just met along with ones he’s known since pre-school.” – Amy, parent
